The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) has been helping students access college and beyond since 1944.  In a few weeks, the Jacksonville Chapter of UNCF Leadership Council will be kicking off events to celebrate UNCF Week.  Tuesday, March 9th at 6pm-7:30pm UNCF will host a virtual scholarship forum titled:  Get That Money:  Practical Tips to Secure Scholarships.

They’re inviting all high school students and parents to participate in this event.  DJ TeeRoy from 93.3 The Beat will be the host.  There will be prizes given throughout the event.  To encourage your participation, the school with the most students present on the night of the event will receive special recognition and prize, presented by the UNCF Council President.

The presenters for the event will share up-to-date information about the availability of scholarship dollars, how to apply, and how to access monies before/after you enter college.  Don’t miss out!

The flyer is below.  Please encourage your students to attend.

UNCF is also spotlighting the Kings and Queens of each high school.  Please email the name of a point of contact to Dr. Pamela Davis – davisp3@duvalschools.org .  She will work with your team member to send invitations for your King and Queen to participate.

Direct any questions about the event to Dr. Davis – UNCF Leadership Council Member.
