$$FAFSA$$

REMINDER: the date seniors may begin filling out and submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) has changed. In previous years, the FAFSA did not open until January 1. However, this year, it opens on October 1.

Here is the link:  https://fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm
Please do NOT go to www.fafsa.com.  That's a scam.
Another change to the FAFSA this year is that it will now use your IRS information from the "prior-prior" year.  (Calendar year 2015)

Most colleges require the FAFSA for you to qualify for any type of scholarship for your child, whether merit-based or need-based.  Some selective schools also use the CSS Profile to assist in determining financial aid.
