Rising seniors - Mark Your Calendars and Sign Up! We are excited to host a 2-day College Application Bootcamp on May 29 and 30 (school half days) from 12:30pm until 3:30pm.
Want to have a productive summer? Interested in getting a head start on your college applications?Our College Application Boot Camp is designed to help students get a strong start on their college applications under the guidance of the DA School Counseling Team. It is our aim to give students the information, techniques, feedback, and confidence to put together an application that reflects their achievements and potential.
During this 2-Day Camp, students will:
- Gain an understanding of the college admissions process
- Receive advice on teacher recommendations
- Learn how to research colleges and careers
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to complete the general portion of the Common App
- Learn how to write a Personal Essay
- Start a Personal Essay
- Complete a resume that highlights high school awards, school and extracurricular activities, community service, work, and leadership positions
* Access to technology is required, please bring either your issued DCPS laptop or a personal laptop**PTSA is providing lunch/snacks** You may bring your own food or snacks if you like. Lunch is still being served at school on these days during the school day.
