DA may nominate one senior who has shown exemplary leadership and academic success for the Herff Jones “Believe in Yourself” scholarship.
Criteria for scholarship winners will include the following:

Quantitative criteria: GPA, class rank, test
scores, honors, activities on campus and hours/types of community service. To view a sample of the quantitative section

Qualitative criteria: Each student is asked to
answer an essay question: "Please
explain how a person believing in you has had a positive impact on your
success. What did he/she do and how did
it help?"
The selection of winners is based strongly on leadership
qualities. Academic records, standardized test results (ACT, SAT), school
recommendations, work experience, outside interests and co curricular
activities are also taken into consideration.
