ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, a student must:
Be enrolled in a school in Duval, Clay, Nassau, Putnam, or
St. Johns County during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years.
Be currently enrolled in grade 12.
Be nominated by a mentor or instructor/teacher, counselor,
or administrator employed by the student's educational institution (nominator
must be non-family member/relation).
Be nominated by an active member of one of the nine NPHC
member organizations Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and an acceptable
citizenship and disciplinary history.
Complete a 750 word essay (double spaced): "Discuss
whether culture defines who we are as people- or do our shared experiences
define culture? How and Why?"
Essays created with the usage of Al or ChatGPT will not be
considered. Only original essays submissions will be accepted.
